Senior Musician of the Year

3 STUDENTS

 

 

The 2025 Senior Musician of the Year recipients are Madison Taranto and Elijah Ball.

Both students have made outstanding music contributions to our school and our community throughout the last 5 years as students of Warners Bay High School. They have been members of school ensembles and have performed at every assembly and MAD night.

Their involvement in extracurricular events has been an outstanding contributing to school and community events on a deep level.

 

 

End Of Year Formal Assemblies

The end of-year Formal Assemblies were a fitting finale to a fantastic year at WBHS, showcasing the incredible talent of our students. Performances from students across all year groups captivated their peers, teachers, and parents alike. From powerful musical pieces to outstanding group performances, each act highlighted the dedication and skill of our young performers.

These assemblies were not only a celebration of artistic achievement but also a chance to reflect on a year of growth and success.

“A Night at MAP MIMA” HPGE Music Concert at Speers Point Park.

MAP MIMA

Our talented HPGE students recently shone on stage at “A Night at MAP MIMA”, presenting an incredible evening of music and performance.

After weeks of preparation and collaboration, they delivered polished and dynamic performances that captivated the audience. The night also featured a special performance by former WBHS students, showcasing the ongoing legacy of musical excellence at our school. This showcase celebrated not only the hard work of our current students but also the inspiring journeys of our alumni. It was truly a night to remember!

HPGE Music Incursion with Narrabeen High School

Recently our WBHS Big Band and Choir students collaborated with band students from Narrabeen Sports High School.

The bands met, rehearsed and collaborated on pieces to perform in an afternoon concert for students, parents, grandparents and carers.

This was a fantastic experience for our students and the beginning of a musical partnership and friendship with Narrabeen Sports High School.

MAD Night Talent Contest

The WBHS Music and Arts Showcase spotlighted the exceptional talent of our students in an evening filled with breathtaking performances.

Taking home the $300 first prize, Jaiden Lee Ray captivated the audience with her stunning rendition of “The Ballad of Jane Doe.” Darcy Mansfield earned the $200 second prize for his masterful drum performance of “A Night in Tunisia.” Elijah Ball and Gracie Tomkins delivered a heartfelt duet of “Grace” to secure third prize and $100.

Congratulations to all performers for an unforgettable celebration of creativity and artistry!

Riley N. 'Schools Spectacular'

A huge congratulations to our very own music, sound, and stage whiz, Riley N., for successfully contributing to the prestigious NSW CAPA showcase, Schools Spectacular!

Riley honed his skills at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on the 29th and 30th of November, working alongside a talented crew of students from across NSW to produce the incredible showcase, “ALL 4 ONE.”

This was an amazing opportunity, and we are so proud of Riley’s hard work and dedication. Well done, Riley, on being part of such a renowned event!

 

 

Bandwidth

Two WBHS rock bands, Porcelain and Industry Plant, delivered dynamic performances at the interschool rock band eisteddfod, Bandwidth.

Industry Plant closed the show, igniting the crowd with a high-energy set that had everyone jumping.

A special congratulations to Liam Wilson from Industry Plant, who was awarded Best Drummer for his outstanding performance.

Our bands were cheered on by an audience of 30 WBHS students, who attended to gain inspiration and ideas for their own assessment task pieces.

Supporting the event behind the scenes, WBHS tech crew members Peyton D., Alexander V., April W., Riley N., and Zavier L. received all-access passes to interview performers and capture these fabulous moments in photos. Congratulations to both bands for their incredible performances and to the tech crew for their hard work!

Year 6 Orientation Day Concert

Our talented Year 9–12 students recently delivered an electrifying performance at the Year 6 Orientation Concert, welcoming the next generation of WBHS students.

The concert was filled with energy, showcasing the incredible musical and artistic talent of our senior students. From powerful band performances to captivating solo acts, the event gave Year 6 students a glimpse of the vibrant and supportive creative community awaiting them at WBHS.

It was a fantastic way to inspire and excite our future students for the journey ahead!

 

 

SRC Lunchtime Concert

The Year 12 Music class brought the courtyard to life with an energetic lunchtime performance during the Year 12 Fundraiser BBQ.

Their talent and passion created the perfect atmosphere, entertaining students and staff while supporting this important event. The combination of great music and delicious food made for a memorable afternoon, with funds raised going towards Year 12 celebrations.

A huge thank you to our talented musicians for sharing their gift and making the fundraiser a resounding success!
