Library Achievements

The Library is an essential resource that supports teaching and learning at WBHS. Our teacher-librarian provides curriculum resources for teachers to access as well as resources for students to access for individual learning and recreational reading. With a wealth of knowledge on best practice in research, our teacher-librarian supports a range of learning tasks across faculties. 

Our top highlights were:

• Providing additonal support for our Stage 6 students via the installation of kitchenette facilities for use during study periods. This initiative was proposed by senior students and has contributed to an increased sense of responsibility and belonging in the Library.
• Enhancing the HSC preparation of our Senior students by facilitating access to the Library during the holidays.  HSC students. As a result, students had a quiet space to study in preparation for their exams.
• Creating a database of resources on Google Classroom for History Extension to support students conducting research for their major projects.
