HSC Results

HSC students in Ancient and Modern History achieved outstanding results in the 2024 course. Year 9 Elective History Archaeology Task

Year 9 History Elective students became archaeologists for a day in a hands-on learning experience. As part of their studies on archaeology and ancient civilizations, students created and excavated their own shoebox digs, carefully layering artefacts and “historical” objects to reflect different time periods. They then analysed their findings, piecing together the past just like real archaeologists. This engaging task deepened their understanding of excavation techniques, historical interpretation, and the importance of preserving the past.
