Year 8/9 Rugby League boys will compete in the Hunter Schools Under 14's Rugby League Buckley Shield at Hunter Barnett Field, Windale. Students must make their own way to and from the venue. Students must wear playing gear (jerseys will be provided) and bring football boots, mouth-guard, headgear (optional), shorts, socks and strapping tape (if required). No facilities to purchase food will be available. Please bring snacks, food and drink for the day. Please bring a water bottle.

Year 12 French Continuers students have the opportunity to attend a Study Skills Day at Sydney University. Students will be catching the train from Cardiff Station to arrive at Sydney University for an 8:30am start. Students will be required to take their own Opal Card. Students are required to bring their own face mask as mask wearing is mandatory on public transport. Please wear comfortable clothes for travel and walking, and bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and insect repellant. Students should also bring snacks and money for lunch and/or dinner.

Please note: the date has now been changed to 27 May. Year 10 Visual Arts, Photography and Ceramics students will visit the MCA Gallery and Luna Park. This excursion informs students next assessment task. Students will be required to gather and document material that will inspire conceptual development for a Body of Work. Students will be travelling by bus and should be at WBHS by 7.15am. The buses will return at approximately 4.30pm. Full school sports uniform is to be worn along with covered, comfortable walking shoes. Students should bring a camera, water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Optional: Students are able to use the rides, so please bring money for this. Students should bring snacks, food and water, and food will be available for purchase at Luna Park.

Selected students will participate in a Workcover WH&S Construction Induction Course. Students complete National WH&S General Construction Induction training to make students more employable and to permit them on construction sites for work experience as required in the Maths in Trade program. STEP 1 - The course is limited to 20 students. To ensure your spot please have a parent give consent & make payment for the course in full. STEP 2 - Create a USI Number (Unique Student Identifier, similar to your Tax File Number but used to record your training qualifications). You will need a medicare OR driver's licence for identification during this process. Make sure you record your USI on your phone in contacts or notes once it's created. Please refer to the attached sheet for instructions on how to obtain the USI number or go to this website: http://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-usi STEP 3 - You must complete the Assett Training Online Enrolment form by following this link: http://assettraining.com.au/enrolment-form NOTE: Under the invoicing section please list Warners Bay High School (no other details required). Students should wear full school uniform and must bring paper and pens.

Years 8 and 10 students studying Japanese will have a day of Japanese language and cultural activities in Sydney. Activities include an art workshop on traditional patterns and making a noren as well as a cultural session on anime and manga at the Japan Foundation, eating a traditional Japanese lunchbox, visiting a Japanese bookshop and shops. Students will be travelling by train and students need to be on the platform at Cardiff Station by 6:30am. We will be catching the 6:58am train to Central and returning by train to arrive back at Cardiff at 7:39pm. Students will need to have their own Opal card that has at least $20 credit on it for the train. Note: Students will need to be picked up at Cardiff Station and will not be allowed to go home alone. Students should wear their full school uniform. A Japanese lunch box will be provided. Please bring water bottle and snacks/food for recess. Students may bring money if they wish to purchase books or other items at the bookshop and general store.
