Year 9 + Year 10 Marine Studies: Fishing excursion

Yr 9 + Yr 10 Marine Studies students will be participating in fishing excursions at Warners Bay Jetty during their normal Marine Studies class times. Students will participate in class time up to 8 occasions depending on suitable weather conditions. Students should wear full school Sports uniform. Students will be walking to and from the venue. Students are asked to bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Year 12 Visual Arts Case Study

Students will be completing Case Study 4 on James Drinkwater as part of their course work. Students will go to the library at 1:25pm to be involved in a casual group ZOOM interview with the artist.

Bahtabah Oz Tag Excursion

Selected students are invited to participate in the Bahtabah Oz Tag carnival at Belmont High School. Students have been chosen to either referee or participate for the day. This is a local 'Close the Gap' event with the support of Lake Macquarie Oz Tag and Bahtabah Land Council for our community. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students are to bring a water bottle, snacks, food and drinks for recess and lunch. Students need to wear full school Sports uniform.

Yr 11 Earth and Environmental Science Newcastle coastline field trip

Year 11 Earth and Environmental Science students will engage in examining local geological features and soils at Blackbutt Reserve and along the Newcastle coastline. Students will be visiting Nobbys Headland, Newcastle Beach Promenade, Merewether Rock Platform, Marketown Shopping Centre and Blackbutt Reserve. Students will be travelling by bus leaving WBHS at 9am and returning at approximately 3pm. Students are to wear appropriate clothing to conduct field work and sturdy footwear. Students should bring pens and pencils to complete a booklet during the day and water bottle, hat, sunscreen and insect repellant. Students should also bring snacks, food and drinks and money for food the during day.
