Star Struck 2023 Choir Group - Students will participate in the Mass Choir for the Regional Performing Arts Spectacular Star Struck. ** Tickets for Star Struck Ignite 2023 are on sale on Monday 1st May through Ticketek** REHEARSAL DATES AT NEWCASTLE EXHIBITION CENTRE. Friday 5th May Mass Choir rehearsal Newcastle Exhibition Centre, 8.40am-2.00pm. (Meet Mrs Husband out the front of the hall. Collect students from the front of the hall). Friday 9th June Mass Choir rehearsal Newcastle Exhibition Centre, 8.40am-2.00pm. (Meet Mr Mclennan out the front of the hall collect students from the front of the Exhibition Centre). PERFORMANCE & REHEARSAL DATES AT THE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE Wednesday 14th June Drop Off - 8.15am. Sound Check & Tech rehearsal - 9am to 3pm Dress Rehearsal CAST A - 3.30pm to 6pm. Pick up - 6.00pm Thursday, 15th June - Dress Rehearsal CAST B Drop off 3.00pm - Pick up 6.00pm Friday, 16th June - PERFORMANCE (Students must move into their seating approx. 15-20 min prior to show start). Matinee Show - Drop off 10.00am - Pick up 1.30pm Evening Show - Drop off 6.30pm - Pick up - 9.15pm Saturday, 17th June (Students must move into their seating approx. 15-20 min prior to show start). Matinee Show - Drop off 12.00pm - Pick Up 3.30pm Evening Show - Drop off 6.30pm - Pick up 9.15pm Friday 05/05/2023 8:40am - 2:00pm (NEWCASTLE EXHIBITION CENTRE), Friday 09/06/2023 8:40am - 2:00pm (NEWCASTLE EXHIBITION CENTRE), Wednesday 14/06/2023 8:15am - 6:00pm (NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE), Thursday 15/06/2023 3:00pm - 6:00pm (NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE), Friday 16/06/2023 10:00am - 9:15pm (2 Performances - students must be picked up 1.30pm & dropped back 6.30pm), Saturday 17/06/2023 12:00pm - 9:15pm (2 Performances - students must be picked up 3.30pm & dropped back 6.30pm) Private transport to and from the venue is required and students will be accompanied and supervised by Mr McLennan at the rehearsals and during the show. NOTE: Please collect students between shows as the choir has 500 students and there is no space to host such large numbers between shows. Please bring your music, pencil and a highlighter. Please wear comfortable casual clothes and enclosed shoes. Please bring a jumper as it gets very cold at the venue. Uniform for Show Week - Please wear the white Star Struck T shirt and black pants and shoes, bring a jumper, your props bag, drink, food, money to purchase food if you would like to. Please bring water bottle, snacks and money for lunch and/or dinner.

Students will be assisting in conducting the Warners Bay Public School Athletics Carnival. Students will be assigned roles for the day prior to the event. Students will need to report to Ms Bath from the Primary School on the day. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the Glendale Athletics Sports Center. Students should wear full school sports uniform, and bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and insect repellant. Students should bring snacks, food and drinks for the day.

Selected students will compete in the Hunter Region Cross Country at Tocal Agricultural College being held on Friday 09/06/2023. Students should arrive by 11:00am (Secondary registrations begin at 11.45am and close at 1.00pm. All competitors must be registered within these times. Competitors report to their zone manager for registration). Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear full school sports uniform including comfortable and supportive footwear for running the cross country track. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day and bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. Students should also bring any required medication (Asthma Puffers, Epipens etc). Note: Students will be required to pay $7 on the day to cover the venue hire cost. This is to be paid in cash directly to the zone manager on the day. Any student who does not pay will not be able to compete.

RAGE is a student wellbeing program aimed at equipping students with skills in recognising and managing difficult emotions, identifying triggers, and exploring and developing healthy expressions of anger, positive communication styles, and effective strategies for dealing with challenging situations. Select students will participate in the program in small groups, and engage in valuable conversations and interactive activities. The program will be facilitated by the Student Support Officer, Amy Smith, and take place on Fridays during Period 4, from Week 4 to Week 9.

As part of the History Elective Course, Year 10 History students will be participating in the Crime & Justice Case Study Program at the Justice & Police Museum in Sydney. Students will explore, examine and evaluate various primary and secondary sources, including artefacts and documents, and learn how a wide range of sources provides the evidence required to pursue a historical inquiry. Students should be at Cardiff Station by 6.45am (train leaves 6.58am), the return train should arrive back at Cardiff around 4.30pm. NOTE: Students must have an opal card for public transport or debit card to purchase travel fare with a minimum balance of $15. Students should wear full school uniform including appropriate shoes for walking. There will be opportunities for students to purchase their lunch; however, they may still require snacks and a water bottle.
