The Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) has teamed up with talented artist and former Warners Bay High School student, Kyah Stewart, to create a breathtaking mural for the school canteen.
This collaborative project allowed students to explore their creativity while celebrating Aboriginal culture and heritage under Kyah’s expert guidance. The vibrant mural reflects the stories, spirit, and unity of the community, making it a truly special addition to the school.
Olivia and Piper have done an incredible job on working exclusively on the eagle and should be extremely proud of this accomplishment.
Mr Mackay has supported the JAECG with 3 of his students; Cooper, Izaac and Levi to cut the boards to shape and install the piece in the canteen area.
Once installed in the canteen area, the mural will serve as both a centerpiece and a reminder of the importance of cultural pride and teamwork. The school community eagerly anticipates its unveiling, knowing it will add warmth and inspiration to the space.
