2023 Highlights
The refurbishment of the Staff Common Room with updated furnishing including group collaboration zones to allow for staff to collaborate cross faculties and beyond.
The continued improvement and active use of online learning platforms across all faculties. Extensive trialing of CANVAS continued with staff involved from every faculty and rollout for Year 7 and Year 11 planned for 2024.
The use of current research of labour market trends to inform curriculum planning.
Further staff training in VET frameworks to continue to expand VET opportunities for Stage 6 and introduce VET opportunities in Stage 5.
Piloting of corporate shadowing opportunities in Stage 6.
The refinement and continued use of Flipped Classroom strategies and digital learning.
Cross faculty collaboration and further refinement to deliver Project-Based Learning to Year 7 as a 3-day incursion where students answered the driving question 'How can we improve our sense of belonging at Warners Bay High School?'.
Reporting on student's Critical and Creative Thinking skills to Year 7 parents.
