On Thursday afternoon our Year 9 French students and a handful of keen francophiles from Year 8 travelled to the French Petanque Club, Nesca Park. There they showed off their skills in compettition wth St Pius Year 9 students.
Volunteers from the Petanque Club were there educating our students on the original and official rules of the game and demonatrated various techniques whilst students enjoyed a gourmet sausage sizzle.
Students were placed into teams of 2 or 3 and competed against each other. It was such a fun and ‘une very Française afternoon’’.
