A New Chapter for Warner's Bay High School Sign: A Tribute to the Past and a Look to the Future

school entry mosaic

At Warners Bay High School, we are excited to share that a new chapter is being written for the iconic mosaic sign at the front of our school. The Year 10 Visual Design Ceramics class, under the guidance of Ms. Moffitt and Mrs. Martin, is currently in the process of redesigning the sign, which has been a recognisable symbol of our school for many years.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the decision to replace the original mosaic created by Mrs. Armstrong and her Year 11 Ceramics class back in 2010. While this mosaic has served us well, time and the elements have unfortunately taken their toll. The piece has become damaged and is slowly disintegrating due to age and exposure. We are deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication that Mrs. Armstrong and her students put into the creation of this beautiful artwork, and it will always hold a special place in the history of our school.

As we look to the future, we are excited about the new design taking shape.

The Year 10 Visual Design Ceramics students are working hard to bring fresh creativity, vibrancy, and a new vision to the school’s entrance, ensuring the spirit of Warner's Bay High continues to be represented with pride and innovation. This new ceramic sign will not only symbolise our school's growth and progress but will also honour the legacy of those who contributed to the original mosaic.

We can’t wait to unveil the finished product and see how it enhances the front of our school.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
