2024 Achievements e-Booklet

2024 was another year of outstanding achievements across the school. Please see here for our 2024 Achievements e-book.

ANZAC Day Services

Our school captains, vocalists and musicians will be participating in ANZAC Day services at Speers Point and Valentine on ANZAC Day. Our captains are giving the students' address at both services. We will be holding our ANZAC Day service on the first day back next term.

Revised Commendation System

This term saw the implementation of the revised commendation system, with three overarching categories - Academic, Behaviour and Co-Curricular (the ABC's). We have also introduced 'five auto-commendations' that are given for: being a member of various teams/ensembles (eg. CHS sport rep team, debating, chess, performing arts ensemble, JAECG, SSE, SRC, tech team); zero negatives in a term and; a termly attendance rate of 90% or greater. Feedback from students around the changes have been very positive. Thank you for your patience as the new system is implemented.  See here for information about other ways that WBHS recognises student achievement.
