Year 12 Food Technology – Final Practical Assessment
Year 12 Food Technology students recently completed their final practical assessment, showcasing their knowledge and skills in an impressive display of organisation and understanding.
For this task, students were required to prepare a recipe that supported an individual living with a diet-related disorder they had researched as part of their assessment task. Conditions included osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, obesity, anaemia, and cardiovascular disease.
The practical demonstrated not only their ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios, but also their creativity and care in designing meals that addressed specific nutritional needs.
A great variety of well-executed dishes reflected students’ deepening understanding of contemporary nutrition issues—an outstanding finish to their practical work in Food Technology.
