Year 8 Textiles Technology – Costume Design in the Spotlight!

Our creative Year 8 students have been busy designing and illustrating a range of costumes for a performer of their choice – and the results are fantastic!

As part of their project, students explored costume illustration and rendering techniques, while considering both the aesthetic and functional features required in performance wear. One of their key design challenges was to create a costume inspired by an Australian theme or icon – and their imagination did not disappoint!

From bold stage-ready looks to subtle storytelling through fabric and form, these young designers have shown great skill, creativity and flair. As you can see, we have some truly talented students and inspiring designs in the making!
