Young Leaders Day 2025

Our student leaders of WBHS recently attended the Young Leaders Day in Sydney. They were lucky to hear four speakers give recounts of their personal leadership and motivational stories.

The Hon. Chris Minns (NSW Premier) spoke about the importance of resilience. Emma McKeon (swimming champion) gave ten top tips for success. Nikhil Autar (2024 NSW Young Australian of the Year) provided a heartfelt recount of his life and how he looks at situations by taking a step back and seeing things from other people's perspectives.

However, the biggest excitement of the day for most was when Catherina Laga'aia (Australian actress who is playing Moana in the live action Disney movie) told her trials and tribulations of chasing her dream job.

Students came away from the event contemplating their own leadership journey wondering "How Far I'll Go?"
