Warmest congratulations to our very talented team of chess players at WBHS and their triumphant win against Newcastle Grammar School to be the winners of the Hunter Region NSW JCL Chess Teams Competition run by the Sydney Academy of Chess.
The WBHS team's fantastic efforts in winning their initial rounds, which included special recognition for Matt, Logan, Daniel and Claudia who recieved individual medals for their performances, set up a great competition for the Hunter final.
The team will be competing in the Grand Finals later in the year against the winning teams from the other five NSW regions.
