Futsal Champs

On Thursday 26^th May the WBHS Under 14 and Under 16 Boys Futsal teams played in the Lake Macquarie Regional Championships at Howzat in Newcastle.

Both teams played exceptionally well and displayed great sportsmanship.

The 16s were knocked out in the semi-final, however the 14s went all the way to the final.

In a tense match that finished 0-0 at full-time, a nerve-wracking penalty shootout decided the winner with the WBHS boys winning 5-4.

Jack M made two great saves before Eli H scored the winning penalty after he spent most of the day out injured.

The Under 19 Boys Futsal team made it 2 wins in 2 days for WBHS when they played on Friday 27^th May.

The team was undefeated throughout the Lake Macquarie Futsal Championships with a tough win over Kotara H.S. in the final.

Great sportsmanship was a feature of a competitive day, and the boys now move on to the Champion of Champions tournament.
