Open Girls Cricket success

Congratulations to the Open Girls Cricket team who had a convincing win over Whitebridge High in their T20 match. After rescheduling the match due to wet weather, we were lucky to play on a beautiful sunny day.

The girls are to be commended on the wonderful sportsmanship they displayed and their friendly approach when offering support and guidance to their less experienced opponents.

Whitebridge won the toss and elected to bowl. Our batters put on a great performance and together with the extras off an inexperienced bowling lineup, posted a total of 145.

Thanks to some highly skilled bowling, we were able to restrict Whitebridge to 22.

It was a great team effort with all players making a positive contribution. Thank you to all the girls for being such wonderful ambassadors for Warners Bay High and Women’s Cricket!

The team progresses to round 2 to be played in Term 4.
