The last day of student learning for Term 1 is Friday 11/04/25.

Location: WBHS

The first two days of Term 2, Monday 28/04/25 and Tuesday 29/04/25, are staff development days. All students return to school on Wednesday 30/04/25.

HSC Music Day at Conservatorium of Music

Date: 02 May
Time: 7:45 AM-3:10 PM
Location: Newcastle Conservatorium

This day will comprise of HSC Music workshops for Year 11 and 12 Music Students. Students will participate in performance and aural workshops to help prepare for their Higher School Certificate and Year 11 written and practical examination. This year the excursion will focus on maximising HSC Music outcomes through specific strategies within each of the HSC Music Components. There will be performances from various schools and valuable presentations by experienced HSC Music Teachers. Students are to asemble in the canteen area at 8.15am in full senior uniform. The classes will be travelling by bus to the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music to particiate in the HSC Music Day workshops and seminars. Students will be leaving the Newcastle Conservatorium at 2.30pm to arrive back at WBHS at apporximatley 3.10pm. Students will be provided with a comprehensive Music Resource Booklet. All students are expected to bring writing materials and wear full senior uniform to this event. To comply with venue safety requirements, large school backpacks must not be brought into the foyer or Concert Hall. Students may bring a small bag for personal belongings and writing materials. Students are to bring a water bottle, recess and lunch. There may be an opportunity to purchase additional food at a canteen.

Year 12 University Information Evening

Time: 6:00-6:45 PM
Location: WBHS MPC

All Year 12 students, parents and caregivers are invited to attend an information evening in the MPC on Wednesday 14th May commencing at 6pm and concluding at approximately 6.45pm. The meeting is to provide information on: · Applying to university · University Early Entry Schemes · Educational Access Scheme We look forward to your attendance at this evening and trust that it will assist you in providing guidance to your son or daughter as they plan their transition from high school.

Year 11 Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation - First Aid Course

Date: 19 May
Time: 9:00 AM-3:10 PM
Location: Warners Bay High School

Year 11 SLR students have the opportunity to complete 'HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid' as part of their unit of work; 'First Aid and Sporting Injuries'. This is not a compulsory incursion, however is a valuable life skill and qualification to hold. All first aid equipment will be supplied by the facilitator. Students must comply with WBHS uniform expectations. The course will be completed onsite at WBHS. Therefore, students will have access to the school canteen if required.

French Film Festival

Date: 19 May
Time: 9:40 AM-12:50 PM
Location: Events Cinema Kotara

Year 9 and Year 10 French Elective classes will be taken to Events Cinemas in Kotara for the schools screening of a French movie (PG) titled 'Of love and lies' and enjoy a French lunch during the movie. Students will be travelling by bus. Students should wear full school uniform.
