CBD College Barista Course

Selected Year 10 students have been selected to form a team to start a cafe as a wellbeing initiative at school. Students who have been selected are to undertake barista training as part of the course requirements.

The barista course from CBD is a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment listing the units SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety.

It is a 5-hour barista experience that starts from the basics and culminates in two hours of non-stop coffee-making focusing on milk texturing and coffee art.

Students will need to create an USI in order to complete the course. 

Train departs from Cardiff Train Station at 4.40am (students to arrive at 4.30am) Train arrives at Central Station at 6.57am. Train leaves Central (Sydney) 3:15pm and arrives at Cardiff Train Station at 5:35pm..

Students are to make their own way to Cardiff Train Station at the start of the day and home from Cardiff Train Station at the end of the day. Opal cards must be provided by students with the full train fare available with a minimum balance of $20.

Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes.

Students may bring snacks, food and drink for the day, however, there will plenty of opportunity to buy food and drinks throughout the day also, so please bring money.
