CBD College Barista Course

As part of the Hospitality (VET) course students are to undertake barista training as part of the course requirements.

The barista course from CBD is a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment listing the units SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety. It is a 5-hour barista experience that starts from the basics and culminates in two hours of non-stop coffee-making focusing on milk texturing and coffee art.

Students are to make their own way to Cardiff Train Station at the start of the day and home from Cardiff Train Station at the end of the day. Students must bring their own Opal Card, pre loaded with enough funds for the return train trip.

Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes.

The only cost is train fare and food/drink as wanted. There will be an hour break to go buy food if desired. Please bring recess and lunch if you would like. Please bring water bottle. There are plenty of opportunity to buy food and drinks throughout the day also.

Train leaves 4:40am from Cardiff Train Station (students need to arrive at 4:30am) Train arrives at Central (Sydney) 6:57am Barista Course starts at 8am and finishes at 2pm Train leaves Central (Sydney) 3:47pm and arrives at Cardiff Train Station at 5:34pm.
