There is always something  happening or about to happen for our Music students and teachers. Read below to see what has been happening in the last five weeks, and read about the exciting times ahead for the Music Department with a lineup of fantastic events on the horizon!

Our talented musicians will kick things off with Band Fest, showcasing their skills alongside schools from across the region. Following that, get ready for Bandwidth, where students will once again hit the stage to display their versatility and passion for music. To top it all off, we’re thrilled to announce a special collaboration with Narrabeen High’s band—a unique opportunity for our musicians to learn, perform, and create lasting connections with fellow artists.

MAP Mima Workshop

Bands are gearing up for the highly anticipated MAP MIMA showcase, with preparations intensifying as the November 22nd date approaches.

In the lead-up, musicians will participate in a workshop on November 8th, designed to hone their skills and refine their performances.

This showcase will spotlight diverse talents, bringing together creativity and collaboration as the bands prepare to take the stage.

Congratulations to Elijah Ball, James Husband and Jack Kleynjan from Industry Plant and Ben Adams and Zayne Dunlevie for being selected to perform at Bandwidth at the Hunter School of Performing Arts!

This is a wonderful opportunity for these talented musicians to showcase their skills and hard work.

We are proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them represent our school on stage.

Big Band

The WBHS Big Band is gearing up for an exciting term with two major performances on the horizon!

They are preparing for Band Fest, which will take place on Wednesday, November 6th (Week 4). At the event, they will perform a dynamic setlist featuring How to Train Your DragonShrek Dance PartyThe Blues Brothers Revue, and Superstition. The band will travel by bus in the morning and return to school around 3:20 pm.

Following Band Fest, the Big Band will also be featured at MADD Night, where they will collaborate with vocalists to deliver an unforgettable performance. It’s going to be a fantastic term of music!
