Students from Year 11 Ancient History classes will be visiting Chau Chak Wing Museum in Sydney to deepen their understanding of historical evidence. Students will be going on a guided tour in the morning (10am-12pm) with a museum staff member. Students will be travelling via train and then walking to the venue. Students are to be at Cardiff Train Station at 6.40am to catch the 6.58 am train. We will get off the train at Strathfield, transfer to Redfern, and then walk to Sydney University. Students will follow the same process on the way home and will need to be collected at Cardiff Train Station at 4.30pm. NOTE: Students will need to have money to pay for their train fare (approx $15). This could be loaded onto an Opal card, or they could bring a debit card that can be used to tap on/off or to buy a ticket. Students should wear full school uniform. Students should bring water bottle. Students will have the opportunity to purchase lunch at facilities at the University of Sydney. If students do not bring their own lunch, they will require additional money to purchase this.

WBHS Open Boys Cricket Team will compete against Kurri Kurri High School in the Davidson Shield. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. The game will be played on turf, so students should bring appropriate footwear. Students should wear and play in WBHS polo shirt & change into cricket whites at the ground. Students should bring a water bottle, snacks and food for the day.

Approximately 18 students from Years 7-10 will be attending a Newcastle Jets match at McDonald Jones Stadium. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students are to wear appropriate clothing for a school event at a sports stadium. Students should bring money to purchase food from the food outlets at the stadium.

The All Stars Green Class will be going to Hunter Multicultural Communities Cafe for lunch. Students will be catching a variety of public transport to and from school. This includes buses and trains. Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes. Students will be purchasing lunch from the Cafe. There are a range of food options. Please bring $20 to cover the cost of lunch.

Students will travel via bus to Berowra Waters. They will hike into the National Park along the Great North Walk and arrive at Crosslands Reserve by approximately 3:30pm. Students will set-up the campsite and camp overnight. Students are expected to bring their own food and need to cook and clean up after themselves. Students will leave Crosslands Reserve approximately 9am the next morning and hike back out of the National Park to Mt Kuring-Gai where they will be collected by the buses. Students will be leaving WBHS at 9:30am on Wednesday 23/10 and returning to WBHS by 3:00pm on Thursday 24/10. Students are expected to wear appropriate clothing for hiking including appropriate footwear. Van's, Converse and Air Force One's are not suitable for walking. Student shoulders must be covered and long tights or pants are preferred (no cropped t-shirts). Students must also wear a hat throughout the walk to minimise the risk of sunburn. Students will be provided with an extensive packing list prior to the excursion. They will also be supplied with a WBHS hiking backpack. This will be carried by the student throughout the hike (including sleeping bag/pillow/yoga mat etc). Students will need to supply ALL food for the excursion as part of their 'Lightweight Camping' Unit. They will need to store and carry this food with them on the hike. They will specifically need food for: Day 1 - Lunch, Snacks, Dinner (*Lunch will be at Naa Badu Lookout*), Day 2 - Breakfast, Snacks, Lunch. Please speak with your child's PASS teacher if you have any questions.
