CHS Open Girls Cricket Finals

Date: 01 - 02 April 2025
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Morse Park, Bathurst

CHS Open Girls Cricket Finals. Students will need to make their own way to and from Bathurst and parents are responsible for booking overnight accommodation if required. Parents are also required to supervise students outside of the carnival hours. Students should bring their Cricket Kit, hat, sunscreen, and chair. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day. Students should wear cricket whites - a team shirt will be provided.

CHS Opens Netball Hunter Knockout

Date: 02 April
Time: 8:30 AM-2:00 PM
Location: Maitland Basketball Stadium

Students in the Open Girls Netball Team are given the opportunity to attend the Regional Knockout Carnival for the CHS Opens Netball Tournament being held on Wednesday 02/04/2025. Please note, the finish time is subjective to the teams progression through the knockout and may finish earlier at approx 12pm. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students will need to bring guards, strapping tape, water bottle etc. Students will be provided with a WBHS Netball Dress. Students should also bring snacks and ffor dor the day and/or money for same.

Preliminary Notice. The 2025 Year 7 Camp will be held at the Great Aussie Bush Camp, Tea Gardens on Wednesday 2nd April till Thursday 3rd April, 2025. Further information will be provided closer to the date.

All Stars Warners Bay Community Access

Date: 04 April

Location: Warners Bay + various

Community Access covers a variety of learning opportunities for our All Stars students outside of the school setting. The activities involve travelling to and from a range of venues within walking distance of school to facilitate Life Skills and Work and Community Skills in authentic contexts. Students will apply and build upon their understandings in road safety, financial transactions, and social skills, as well a range of other subject specific activities. Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes. Costs will vary depending on the excursions planned and will be communicated to parents and carers before the event, as will any other equipment specific to some activities. Community Access is a privilege organised by the teachers of the Support Unit, and alternative activities will be made for students to complete at school if their behaviour leading up to the trip does not reflect the three core values of WBHS; Ready, Respectful, and Safe. Should student behaviour become unsafe during an excursion, parents/ carers may be called to collect their child from the venue.

Coffee Cart Excursion- Parent Teacher Evening

Selected students from the coffee cart team in Year 11 at Warners Bay High School are invited to volunteer their time and help make and serve coffees at Warners Bay High School MPC for the upcoming parent teacher night for Year 7 students on Monday, 7th April. Students will already be at school, yet they need to make arrangements for alternative transport to leave school late between 5.30 and 6pm. There is no obligation to attend. Funds used from the sales will be used for the barista program at Warners Bay High School and for school wellbeing programs.

All Stars Excursion to Fighter World

Date: 07 April
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Fighter World, Williamtown

Students in the All Stars Green and Purple classes have been studying World War I and World War II in History this term. Students will travel by bus (teacher driven) to Fighter World, Williamtown, to participate in a guided tour of the museum, focusing on planes used in wars in the past. This will be followed by a picnic lunch nearby. Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes. Students can bring their lunch, recess and water bottle or money to purchase food from Fighter Beans Cafe (at Fighter World), or McDonalds.
