Yr 11 2026 Subject Selection Information Evening

Date: 23 June
Time: From 5:15
Location: WBHS MPC

Parents and carers of current Year 10 students are invited to an information evening on subject selections for Years 11 and 12. Monday 23rd June from 5:15pm in the MPC. There will be stalls from each faculty, along with information regarding University, TAFE and Apprenticeships. See your email for more details.

NNSW Champion of Champions Futsal Tournament

Date: 24 June
Time: 9:00 AM-2:45 PM
Location: Niagara Park Stadium

Three boys teams and one girls team from WBHS will be playing in the NNSW Futsal titles at Niagara Park Indoor Sports Centre. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear school sports uniform with black football socks and black shorts. Students are to bring shin pads and futsal shoes (if possible). Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day.

Regional Cross Country

Date: 27 June
Time: 10:45 AM-2:15 PM
Location: Avondale University, Cooranbong

Selected students will compete in the Regional Cross Country being held at Avondale University, Cooranbong. Please note there will be no Warners Bay High School Teacher supervising on the day. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Secondary registrations open at 10.55am and close at 1.00pm. All competitors must be registered within these times. Competitors report to their zone manager for registration. Students should wear full school sports uniform including comfortable and supportive footwear for running the cross country track. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day. Students should also bring any required medication (Asthma Puffers, Epipens etc). Students will be required to pay $7 on the day to cover the venue hire cost. This is to be paid in cash directly to the zone manager on the day. Any student who does not pay will not be able to compete.

Year 12 University of Newcastle - Schools Visit Day

Date: 03 July
Time: 9:00 AM-2:40 PM
Location: University of Newcastle

Year 12 students are invited to visit the University of Newcastle Callaghan campus for the Schools Visit Day which provides students with an opportunity to get a taste for uni life. Academics and current students run presentations and campus tours throughout the day to give students information on degrees, see the facilities and engage with current students and staff. Students are encouraged to plan their day online through the following website: www.newcastle.edu.au/schools-visit-day Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear full school uniform including covered shoes. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day, however, students will be able to make purchases at the university's canteen. * Please note: Teachers attending this excursion will not always have direct supervision of all students given the structure of this event. In the unlikely case of an emergency, students can contact the school on 4954 9488 or Renee Sommer on 0431 850 812. Students will be required to provide a mobile phone number so they can be contacted on the day if necessary. **Further details and instructions regarding this excursion will be emailed to students on 1st July 2025.
