Year 9 boys

In April 2019, Year 9 boys were able to listen to current Manly Sea Eagles super star Joel Thompson who spoke about his life and his upbringing and the poor choices he made as a young person and the impact they had on his life. He continued to speak about how he overcome life’s challenges to be the person he is today. This wellbeing session was well received by all students who thoroughly enjoyed listening to Joel.

In early Term 2 all of Year 9 travelled to Glenrock Scout Camp to participate in their annual Focus Day. Students rotated through a number of sessions from learning about Aboriginal culture to Drug and Alcohol education and awareness. It was a fantastic day had by all and the year advisors received positive feedback from presenters about the maturity and behaviour of the Year 9 students. Well done Year 9!

To wrap up 2019 the Year Advisors organised a challenging yet rewarding excursion to Doyalson to participate in the Raw Challenge. This turned out to be one of the best excursions to date. All students had a blast (as seen in the photos).
