Years 8 and 10 students studying Japanese will have a day of Japanese language and cultural activities in Sydney.
Activities include an art workshop on traditional patterns and making a noren as well as a cultural session on anime and manga at the Japan Foundation, eating a traditional Japanese lunchbox, visiting a Japanese bookshop and shops.
Students will be travelling by train and students need to be on the platform at Cardiff Station by 6:30am. We will be catching the 6:58am train to Central and returning by train to arrive back at Cardiff at 7:39pm. Students will need to have their own Opal card that has at least $20 credit on it for the train. Note: Students will need to be picked up at Cardiff Station and will not be allowed to go home alone.
Students should wear their full school uniform.
A Japanese lunch box will be provided. Please bring water bottle and snacks/food for recess. Students may bring money if they wish to purchase books or other items at the bookshop and general store.
