An excursion for Year 9 Physical Activity and Sports Studies students to participate in a Lightweight Camping Excursion at the Berowra Valley Regional Park, has been rescheduled to Thursday 24 and Friday 25 October 2019.
The purpose of the visit is part of a unit of work on Lightweight Camping. The excursion will involve travel on an established track (Great North Walk) with safety a major concern. Students will carry all their food, clothing and camping equipment in an appropriate rucksack (provided by the school). The group will camp at Crosslands Reserve (established picnic area within the Berowra Valley Regional Park). The campsite is beside Berowra Creek, with toilets, barbeques, tap water and firewood available. A minimum of four adults/staff will accompany the group. Safety is a high priority.
The students will be travelling by bus leaving school at 9.10am then assemble in the Canteen, and will return the next day by approximately 3.15pm.
Students will need to supply all meals and drinks, clothing, swimming attire, towels and sleeping equipment. Students should also bring money for lunch on the second day.
The cost of the excursion is $125.00
