Open Girls CHS Soccer Knockout

Date: 03 June
Time: 8:30 AM-2:00 PM
Location: Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, Speers Point

Selected students from Years 7-12 will compete in the Open Girls CHS Soccer Knockout tournament. Students will need to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear full school sports uniform and will need to bring black coloured shorts and socks. Students will also need to bring their own shin pads and boots. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day.

White Card Course 03/06/25

Date: 03 June
Time: 8:00 AM-3:10 PM
Location: WBHS Library

Selected students will participate in a Workcover WH&S Construction Induction Course. This course provides students with a basic understanding of health and safety precautions on a work site. Students should bring paper and pens. Students will need to arrive at the Library 10 minutes early as the doors will close promptly at 8:00am and no-one will be admitted after that time. Procedure: Students complete National WH&S General Construction Induction training to make students more employable and to permit them on construction sites for work experience as required in the Maths in Trade program. STEP 1 - The course is limited to 20 students. To ensure your spot please have a parent give consent & make payment for the course in full. STEP 2 - Create a USI Number (Unique Student Identifier, similar to your Tax File Number but used to record your training qualifications). You will need a medicare OR driver's licence for identification during this process. Make sure you record your USI on your phone in contacts or notes once it's created. Please refer to the attached sheet for instructions on how to obtain the USI number or go to this website: http://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-usi STEP 3 - You must complete the Asset Training Online Enrolment Form at least two business days prior to the day of training by following this link: http://assettraining.com.au/enrolment-form NOTE: Under the invoicing section please list Warners Bay High School (no other details required).

U14's Rugby League Schoolgirl Trophy Gala Day

Date: 03 June
Time: 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Lakeside Sporting Complex, Raymond Terrace

Selected students from Years 7 and 8 will compete in the U14s NRL Schoolgirl Trophy Gala Day being held at Lakeside Sporting Complex, Raymond Terrace. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear full school sports uniform and bring football boots, mouth guard and any preferred protective gear. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day.

2025 Secondary Schools Leadership Program - Parliament of NSW

Date: 04 June
Time: 9:15 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Government House, NSW Parliament Sydney

The civics and citizenship program offers Year 12 student leaders from NSW secondary schools the opportunity to develop their knowledge of our system of government and parliamentary proceedings, learn about the role of the Governor and meet their Member. Students will be visiting Parliament House and Government House. Students are required to make their own way to and from the venue. Students must travel together via train or via car with a parent/carer driver. Students must wear full school uniform including blazer and tie. Refreshment of a sandwich and drink will be provided for each student. It is recommended that students with special dietary requirements bring their own lunch/food. Please note that there will be no supervising teacher from WBHS to/from or at the event. Students will be supervised at the event by event/venue coordinators. Students with extreme allergies should bring their own medication.

Location: Newcastle Basketball Stadium

Selected students from Years 11 and 12 will compete in the Hunter Volleyball Knock-out Gala Day being held at Newcastle Basketball Stadium. Students are expected to make their own way to and from the venue. Students should wear full school sports uniform and appropriate shoes. Students should bring snacks, food and drink for the day. Please note: Finishing time will depend on how far the team progresses through the tournament.
